How Cruise Ship Passengers
Can Marry in Grand Turk

The Turks and Caicos Marriage Ordinance allows persons arriving in the Islands aboard a  cruise ships to apply for a special license for a marriage that can be conducted the same day they arrive in the islands. Normally, you have to be in the T&C for 48 hours before even making application.

The same day marriage licenses are granted only to persons arriving on a cruise ship that  departs the same day. The Grand Turk Cruise Center is the most obvious place for a wedding but there are many picturesque beach locations and historical sites that may be finer spots.

Normally, marriage licenses are issued by the Registrar General's Office on Providenciales.  But the Special License for cruise ship passengers is available from the Registrar General's  office on Grand Turk; phone 649-946-2801. You can also download the Special License by clicking here.

The Special License requires you to name the marriage officer or registrar in advance. Here is the list of those on Grand Turk as well as the other islands. Unfortunately, the government has provided no contact information.
