St. George Museums
and Attractions
As one of the oldest settlements in the New World, the Town of St. George has a number of interesting museums although none are in the oldest and most historic buildings.
The subjects covered by the museums are surprisingly diverse, including Black history, a perfumery and an institute of ocean sciences.

This newly restored 1860's building offers an orientation exhibit entitled A Gateway to Bermuda and also the film A Stroll through St. George's'.
Open: 10 am – 4 pm, Monday - Saturday from May through October; Tuesday - Saturday from November through April. Closed: Public holidays. Admission: Donations are accepted

The Bermudian Heritage Museum is the first fully established Black History Museum of Bermuda. Open: 10 am-3 pm, Tuesday-Saturday.
Museum Closed: All holidays Admission: $4, seniors and school children $2, children under 5 yrs free. Donations accepted.

Tours: 10 am, Wednesdays (weather permitting), year round. The hour-long tour includes the laboratories, grounds and research vessels (when at dock). Learn about the history and ongoing projects of this marine research and educational institution. Closed on public holidays. Admission is free.
