Day Sails from Tortola

A day sail from Tortola to Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda's The Baths and Norman Island are popular every day of the week. So are day sail snorkel trips, a better way for snorkelers to travel than joining a dive boat.

The windiest season normally is from Christmas through March.

Charters stationed at West End are closest to Jost Van Dyke. Trips to Virgin Gorda usually depart from Road Town.

Adventure Charters uses a 48-foot catamaran to reach popular sites like The Indians, the "Rhone" wreck and The Baths on Virgina Gorda. It also offers all-inclusive charters that include meals, snorkel equipment and open bar. Departures from Road Town.

Aristocat Charters Features group and private charters as well as day sails from West End and Tortola. Includes snorkel gear, unlimited cold drinks and lunch. Every trip offers 2-3 stops for snorkeling.

Kuralu Daysail Charters Day sail snorkel trips to Jost Van Dyke and Sandy Spit or Norman Island and a look at the "Caves" with snorkeling at The Indians. An excursion to Salt, Cooper and Peter Islands includes a snorkel stop at the Rhone wreck, snorkeling and lunch at Cooper Island and a snorkel stop off Peter Island. Departure points vary by trip.

Mystique Charters Two vessels holding 36 or 52 passengers to Norman Island, The Baths or or Jost Van Dyke. Rates include onboard bar and snorkel gear but not lunch, which should be ordered ahead. Discounts for kids ages 4-12. Toddlers free.

Patouche Charters. From Tortola's East End, sail for a full day to The Baths on Virgin Gorda for or Or travel by power catamaran to nearby Jost Van Dyke for a stop at the The Soggy Dollar Bar for a "painkiller" or 2 before lunch. Then off to the Bite of Norman Island to visit another watering hole.
