Parking Directions
Parking directions are easy if you are leaving from the Erato Street Cruise Terminal. More complicated is the parking and drop-off arrangements for departing from the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, since none of those arrangements is convenient.
All you have to do to realize that is look at the word length describing the parking directions
for Erato and Julia Street Terminals. Erato may sound the worst option, but it's the easiest.
Parking for Erato Street Cruise Terminal
Enter Erato Parking garage with your cruise ticket available to show. You then will directed to the offloading area in the middle of the floor. SeaCaps will take your checked baggage directly to the ship. After parking, take Elevators #3, 4 or 5 to the second floor to check in. Parking is $16 per day. Maximum height is 8' 4" (limited space) on 3rd floor and 7' 6" on higher floors. Maximum vehicle length is 22 feet. Garage is lighted and patrolled.
Parking for Julia Street Cruise Terminal
Park is offered in the Erato St. garage, adjacent to the Julia St. Cruise Terminal. Before parking, you must decide if you want to drop off your luggage at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal or carry it from the parking garage to the terminal, a distance of about 75 yards.
If you opt to drop off your luggage, after entering the Port of New Orleans get in right lane and go straight into the Erato St. Parking Garage and follow directions below. If you prefer to drop your bags at the Julia Terminal, upon entering Port of New Orleans, get in left lane and go past the Erato Terminal and proceed directly to the Julia St. Cruise Terminal No. 2. Drop off all luggage except for your personal carry-ons and all other passengers.
Then proceed to Julia St. and turn left. Go 1 block to Convention Center Blvd. and turn left. Go approximately 1 mile to the end of Convention Center Blvd., and turn left onto Henderson St. Go 1 block and turn left onto Port of New Orleans Place. You have now made a circle.
Stay in right lane and enter the Erato St. Parking garage with your cruise ticket available to show. Parking cost $16 per day. Pay with cash or credit card. Maximum height is 8' 4" (limited space) on 3rd floor and 7' 6" on higher floors. Maximum vehicle length is 22 feet. Garage is lighted and patrolled.
Park your vehicle and take Elevator # 1 at the far end of the building. Go to the ground floor (Floor 1), and walk approximately 30 yards to the entrance for the Julia St. Cruise Terminal (entrance is below the outdoor stairway on your right).
Oversized vehicles,
RV's and Buses must use the Poydras St. parking lot adjacent to the Julia St. Cruise Terminal No. 2. But first, drop off your baggage and passengers. The drive your vehicle past the Erato and Julia Street terminals and turn right into the Poydras St. parking lot.
A shuttle there will bring you back to Erato St. For the Julia Terminal, simply walk to it. Parking fee for oversized vehicles is $32 per day Call ahead to reserve space; 504/525-5476. The Poydras St. parking lot is lighted and patrolled
