First, you have to love the name of Samana’s zip line company: Walk The Plank. And, yes, they do have pirate symbols on their website. Walk The Plank is a serious operation, with 12 zip lines varying in length from 200 feet to over 1000 feet soaring through the forest. Playa el Valle is one of Samana’s new developments. It’s rumored that part of Playa el Valle’s impressive is owned by such celebrities as Colombian singer, songwriter, musician, record producer Shakira and movie star Brad Pitt. Zip line riders are advised by Walk The Plank to arrive early in the morning, wear long pants, close toe shoes, socks, light clothing, hat, sunscreen and bring insect repellent.
