Steel pans provide the music
Costume competition is held on stage
Costumes are fanciful
They cover all genres
Some even have built-in special effects
Like a departing smoke screen
J'ouvert morning is rise and shine before dawn
Paint up and getting wild
Some bathe in paint
For others a little dab will do
Meet Mr. Blue who has touch-up paint ready

The Parade of Bands is the biggest spectacle
Dozens of bands march across the main stage
Costumes are carefully prepared
As are elaborate floats
This band is high above the rest
Everyone poses for pictures
